For the last few years at Christmas time, instead of giving gifts to clients, we have invited them to come shopping with us to choose toys to donate to a worthwhile cause. In 2017 and 2018 we chose the Auckland City Mission. Each year in December we took around 30/40 kids to The Warehouse in Milford and let them loose in the toy aisles (don’t worry we warned the store before we went!) We spent around $4,500 on toys which we loaded into my truck (in 2018 we had the addition of a huge hand-made Santa sack), and drove them over to the City Mission. The Mission is a great cause to get behind and it’s especially cool to see the kids so enthusiastic about giving to others.
